Your right to cancel

You may cancel your order for any reason prior to the dispatch of the impression kit and you will receive a full refund. Once the impression kit has been dispatched you may still cancel your order however a fee of £5.00 will be charged to cover the costs of admin, postage and the impression kit.

Once the impression kit has been returned and we have started to make your jewellery we unfortunately will not be able to cancel your order.

Returns & Refunds

All our jewellery is handmade, we ensure each piece we make is completed to the highest standard and hope you will be truly happy with the finished item. We cannot offer returns on personalised, bespoke or made-to-order items. We cannot be held responsible for mis-spelt names or incorrect ordering. A full order sheet will be issued with the impression kit which must be signed and returned with your impressions.

If we do make a mistake with your order please contact us at info@signaturesilver.co.uk within 7 days of receiving your jewellery so we can organise to replace the item.

As with all jewellery links can open or break if not treated with care. Please check your jewellery upon receipt and contact us with 7 days if you think it is damaged or faulty. Damaged or faulty goods will be replaced or repaired following inspection.

If we do offer a refund this will be minus any material costs incurred in producing the item. Postal charges are non-refundable.

Our jewellery is handcrafted using 99.9(pure silver) which is softer than 925 (sterling silver) it therefore must be handled with care to preserve fine details such as fingerprint. If worn daily the jewellery may become scratched and fine details may fade , this is more common on items such as key rings and charm bracelets – due to constant knocking or banging against other charms etc.

Delivery Details

We charge a one off delivery fee of £4.50 at the time of purchase. This fee includes, sending you a design brief and impression kit by First Class, a stamped addressed envelope to return your design brief and impressions, as well as the cost of sending you your finished item by First class signed for delivery. Your impression kits will be dispatched within 48 hours of your order being received - we aim complete and dispatch your items within 2 weeks of receiving back your impressions. (In special circumstance we may be able to complete within a week, please ask if necessary before placing your order).

For jewellery which does not require an impression kit we charge £3 to cover first class signed for delivery.

Postage for Stackers Jewellery Boxes is £3 first class delivery.

What happens after you place your order?

Once we receive your order we will send you a kit along with instructions on how to take your fingerprint. The kit will consist of two pots of moulding compound - one blue, one white. You will need to mix these together before you take your fingerprint; this will then dry to a semi solid state enabling you to send this back to us. When we receive your print we will then take a positive impression of this and begin our work with the silver.

Art Clay Silver is a fantastic product consisting of very fine particles of pure silver, which are suspended in a non toxic binder. Using silver in its clay form allows us to obtain very fine detail and a smooth finish. We then transfer your print onto the silver using our positive copy, and leave it to dry. At this stage we deal with any imperfections before the piece is fired. During the firing process, the binder burns away leaving 99.9% Pure Silver which we then stamp with 999. We will then burnish, antique and polish to a high quality finish.

For items such as the Convex Oval Pendant, receiving your product will take slightly longer. When we have finished your product we have to send it to the Assay Office to be legally Hallmarked. This is due to the weight of the silver. The price of these products reflects this extra important touch.

Your new piece of personalised jewellery is then placed in a Signature Silver gift box and sent to you by recorded delivery.

Hallmarking

We are happy to stamp any of our products with 999, whilst this is not an official hallmark, it is our company assurance of our Pure Silver product. If you would like the stamp adding to your chosen piece please let us know.

The Assay office requires that by law any piece of Silver Jewellery over 7.78g is officially Hallmarked. A few of our products are affected by this limit and therefore the cost is built into the price. We do not hallmark our products under this weight as standard, however if you would like this done you can do so at an extra cost. (Please see our Inspired Gifts page and add it to your basket). Hallmarking takes approximately 7-10 days therefore please allow for this extra time when ordering.

Privacy

All personal details will be kept in accordance with the Data Protection Act. We will never sell your details to any other company.
